Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Review
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is the latest lengthy fantasy action role playing game to hit the gaming scene. But does this new series offer something unique and captivating to gamers or is it just a waste of time with little to offer?
The Binding of Isaac Review
As my one faithful reader may know, I am not the biggest fan of the indie genre, but once and a while I do partake in the occasional experience and from time to time I actually do enjoy myself. After catching mention of another one of these “fun” indie experiences I took the opportunity to look at a game called “The Binding of Isaac”, a simplistic dungeon adventure with an interesting art style. More importantly however, does it manages to translate into a fun worth while gaming session?
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Review
Suspenseful treasure hunting adventure, action packed combat & rich complex characters – these are just a few of the terms you can use to describe the Playstation 3 exclusive phenomenon known as the Uncharted series. Naughty Dog has once again unearthed a modern day gaming treasure with the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and invites players back to the series by following Nathan Drake and company in their latest death defying quest to find long lost mythological treasures and try to stay alive while doing so.
Cities XL 2011 Review
The genre of city building simulations has been stagnant for quite some time with very few notable titles coming out. Cities XL 2011 from the developers Focus Home Interactive is the follow up to the original Cities XL game and hopes to improve over the original. But how does this city building simulation handle, and is it a worth while purchase for those craving a mayoral experience?
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review
Every couple of years the developers at Bethesda Software decide to bless gamers (and curse girlfriends) everywhere with a stunning and massive open world role playing game. The time has come once again to rejoice with their latest offering known as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So clear your calendars, phone in sick to work and be ready to dedicate the next couple of weeks to creating a unique character, slaying giants, dragons and everything in-between to save the world of Skyrim.
Asus Transformer Prime: A First Time Tablet Experience
I have always been hesitant to jump on the tablet bandwagon and it was only a few short years ago that I sat on the sidelines making fun of people for carrying around their massive Iphones, or better known at the time as Ipads. This mentality of over-sized new fangled devices stayed with me for quite some time until I slowly noticed more and more people actually started using these tablet devices, claiming how helpful and convenient they were. I started to think to myself, “Could a tablet help me by increasing my productivity at work and more importantly, make my life easier?”.
Batman: Arkham City Review
The Dark Knight is back, lurking in the shadows, utilizing his wide variety of gadgets and putting his highly refined detective skills to the test in the sequel to many reviewers 2009 game of the year: Batman: Arkham Asylum. This time the big bad bat takes his fight to the much larger Arkham City, a super-prison sprawling the slums of Gotham City.

With the holiday season over I am finally able to go back and take a look at some of that pre-holiday pile of games. I will start off by taking a look at the latest installment of the Playstation 3 exclusive Resistance series, Resistance 3.
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter Review
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter starts right where the player left off in the first game, but this time Sam is equipped with a few more weapons, new enemies to massacre and more varying time travelling set pieces.
Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter Review
What is this? A “Serious Sam” review? But what about your Batman, Uncharted, Assassin’s Creed and Skryim reviews, you claim? Well how about you simmer down there and let me unwind a little from the stresses of holiday gaming releases before I get seriously mad! I can think of no better way to relax from all those gaming burdens than going back in time to play an all time classic, to load up on near infinite ammo and completely annihilate an onslaught of never ending monsters while spewing equally devastating, groan worthy one-liners from none other than the seriously epic man himself, Serious Sam.
